Frequently Asked Questions
Questions buyers ask
before hiring PH-based
remote staff.
The real questions are usually about cost, control, reliability, payroll, attendance, and what happens if the hire does not work out. Here are direct answers.
The Model
How GoStaffers works.
The Covered Role™ model means you are not just hiring one remote person — you are paying for the staffing support structure around that role. For one monthly price, GoStaffers handles sourcing, screening, shortlisting, onboarding support, payroll coordination, attendance visibility, role-fit check-ins, and ongoing role coverage support. The person is yours to direct. The infrastructure is ours to manage.
No. A VA service gives you a person. GoStaffers gives you a covered operating role — with a defined scope, vetted staff, payroll coordination, attendance visibility, and replacement support built in. The difference is structure. VAs placed without role clarity fail at high rates because nobody defined what success looks like before the hire started.
Traditional recruiters charge a placement fee — typically 15–20% of annual salary — and their involvement often ends after the hire is made. GoStaffers charges one monthly role price with no large one-time placement charge, and our support continues after placement. We help with the role structure, payroll coordination, attendance, and replacement — not just the initial candidate delivery.
Role scoping means we document the exact work the remote staff member will own before we begin sourcing — tasks, tools, communication cadence, escalation rules, schedule, and the clear boundary between what stays local and what moves remote. Most remote hires fail because this step is skipped. A person placed into a vague role waits for direction, the local team keeps re-explaining context, and the relationship breaks down within 90 days.
Cost & Pricing
What you pay and what you get.
The Covered Role™ model is currently offered at an introductory price of $2,500 per covered role per month. This monthly role price includes the PH-based staff member’s compensation and the GoStaffers staffing support system around the role.
There is a $1,500 setup deposit to begin role mapping, sourcing, and screening. This deposit is credited in full toward your first month once a staff member is placed. If we cannot present at least 2 qualified candidates within 10 business days after the role map is approved, no additional billing continues until we do.
Yes. The $2,500/month introductory covered role price includes the PH-based staff member’s compensation and the GoStaffers staffing support system around the role.
That support system includes role scoping, sourcing, screening, shortlist preparation, onboarding support, payroll coordination, attendance visibility, role-fit check-ins, staff coordination, and ongoing role coverage support.
Pricing may change for specialized roles, unusual schedules, or higher experience requirements, but we confirm the full cost before anything moves forward.
The $1,500 setup deposit covers the Covered Role Map, sourcing brief, multi-layer screening, and shortlist preparation — the work that happens before candidates reach you. It ensures the process is taken seriously by both sides, and it is credited in full toward your first month when placement is made.
We will walk you through the full terms before anything moves forward. There are no surprise fees or hidden lock-in structures. The goal is a working relationship that makes sense for both sides — not a contract designed to trap clients.
Fit & Reliability
Will the person actually work out?
Ongoing role coverage support is included as part of the Covered Role™ model. If a staff member is no longer a fit within the agreed role scope, GoStaffers helps source and screen a replacement at no additional placement charge.
This applies to documented role-related issues such as consistent underperformance, two consecutive months of missed role expectations, deteriorating attendance, repeated lateness, poor communication after coaching, missed deadlines, refusal to follow reasonable work direction, conduct issues, resignation, or role abandonment.
It does not apply when the role has materially changed, expectations were not clearly provided, onboarding was not given, the schedule or responsibilities changed, or the request is based only on preference without a documented role-related issue.
Every candidate goes through skills evaluation, written and verbal communication assessment, role-scenario testing, and a reliability and culture-fit review. We look for character, communication habits, and real work readiness — not just keywords on a resume. Remote staffing has a real problem with candidates overselling themselves, and our screening process is built to see past rehearsed answers.
You will receive a focused shortlist of 2–3 pre-vetted candidates who match the role. We do not send a pile of resumes for your team to sort through. Each candidate on the shortlist has been scored against the Covered Role Map so you can see exactly how they fit the work before deciding who to interview.
We go back and re-source. You do not move forward until you are genuinely confident in at least one candidate. And if we cannot present 2 qualified candidates within 10 business days after the role map is approved, billing pauses until we do.
Attendance visibility is included in the Covered Role™ model. GoStaffers provides attendance reporting so you can see who is showing up and performing. The goal is not surveillance — it is accountability and transparency so the working relationship stays healthy.
Payroll & Operations
The operational side.
GoStaffers handles payroll coordination and payment support for PH-based remote staff. We manage the payment process so you do not need to build a separate payroll infrastructure. The full payroll structure will be discussed before the role moves forward.
Yes — they are your team member. You give daily direction, set priorities, and provide company-specific training. GoStaffers handles the infrastructure layer: payroll coordination, attendance reporting, role-fit check-ins, and replacement support if needed. The working relationship is yours. The structure around it is ours.
Philippines-based staff work Philippine Standard Time (UTC+8), but many have experience in US, AU, and UK business hours and can flex their schedule accordingly. Schedule overlap is part of the role scoping process — we will not source candidates whose availability does not match your working hours.
PH-based remote staff commonly work with tools like Slack, Asana, Monday.com, HubSpot, Salesforce, Shopify, Zendesk, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and many others. Tool familiarity is part of the screening process — if your stack is specific, we screen for it explicitly.
Getting Started
How to move forward.
You will hear from the GoStaffers team within one business day. We will review your submission, confirm whether the role is a fit for the Covered Role™ model, and schedule a brief conversation to map the role lane before anything moves forward. No sales pitch. We look at the work first.
Once the role map is approved, GoStaffers targets presenting at least 2 qualified candidates within 10 business days. The full timeline from initial conversation to a staff member starting depends on how quickly the role map is finalized and how long your interview and decision process takes.
Yes. The Covered Role™ model is priced per role, with introductory pricing available for early GoStaffers clients. If you need to cover multiple operating roles, each role gets its own scoping, sourcing, and support structure. Talk to the team about multi-role timelines when you submit your inquiry.
